Yellow "other" bar when syncing

I have seen this yellow bar that says "other" when I sync and it's taking up too much room! I've tried to restore but when I do it wipes everything out then comes right back when I start to sync again. Any suggestions?

I just did a Safe Mode and restarted computer
I was able to restore
now my options are
automatically sync songs and videos
automatically add photos

I assume I should select the first option
I have iTunes set up to only sync songs and only those I have checked. No videos

Ok
restore is done and the "Other" is only .42
