change package to folder

I got a new MacPro with iLife'11. When I tried moving over my iPhoto library I found the Pictures folder is showing as a package. How do I change this back to a folder so I can actually put my pictures in it?

How would having that package as a folder make it easier to "put pictures in it"? Leave it alone and use iPhoto to do that. If you try to do anything else, you may destroy the ability of iPhoto to work with it.
