Using iMAC 10.6.5 with Snow Leopard. Some of my home dvd's will not lplay on my iMAC but work OK in my TV DVD player.Disc loads but ejects after 1-2 minutes.Some of the dvd's created on a MS XP PC. Store bought dvd play OK.Any suggestions to fix.

The DVD players on Macs tend to be very fussy about quality, and will reject discs from time to time even though they're apparently fine.
Try a commercial CD/DVD cleaning disc… I've just had good results from using one in 2 MacBook Pros, which would not play more than half the discs I fed them.
That's so true! I dont have an imac but i have a macbook and it won't play some of my music cds. It tries to play it 3 times then ejects it. It's not even scratched or dirty. But when I play it on my cd player, it's fine. It won't even play a cd-rom but it plays on my brother's macbook pro. I dont know why it does that!
