need Mac OSX driver for Dell 3010cn laser printer

I have a MacBook (versie 10.6.5).
Want to connect a Dell 3010cn but can´t find driver (only drivers for windows)

You need to do the following to make the Dell 3010CN work on a Mac:


1 - Download Ghostscript & Foomatic (the Mavericks versions work) from here - http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/foomat ic


2 - Download the PPD File from here - http://www.openprinting.org/printers


3 - Open Terminal & type in the following:


cd /usr/libexec/cups/filter

sudo rm foomatic-rip


cd /usr/local/bin

sudo cp * /usr/libexec/cups/filter


(if you have installed a lot of other software in /usr/local/bin, it is better not to copy all files, of course)

4 - Plug in the printer via USB


5 - Go System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > + (add printer) > Select Dell Colour Laser 3010cn


Use: Other...


Select the PPD file downloaded in step 2


Add


Then print. Just done this on 2 machines & works a treat. The issue with Yosemite is to do with Sandboxing of Foomatic / Ghostscript.
