Facetime Issues with 4th Gen iTouch- Solved!!!!

I tried that too--no joy. still can't log in.

only solution was to change the apple ID to a brand new one, using a different email addy. Apparently the term Apple ID is NOT the same as the Apple ID for the app store! they can be differnet. I've asked Apple to fix that confusion by giving the term Facetime ID to the facetime ID field.

Yes! Thankyou if worked finally after hundreds of attempts. Here's a tip though if you use the wireless DSA method and you got to facetime try log in and it dosen't work try going into FaceTime through the settings menu. It worked for me!!!!!!

I've tried all of these things.
I logged into my girlfriend's account on my iTouch 4g with 4.2.1 just fine.
When I switched to mine (never been on FaceTime with) it gave me the wrong email or password message.
I found a way to fix that.
I don't have much on my iPod, just some calendar things, and some contacts that are already on my phone.
All I did was just restore it.
But I DIDN'T restore to a previous backup.
Then when the restore finished and it was back to factory settings, I logged into my account.
It worked just fine.
That's one way I found that seemed to work for me.
I wouldn't suggest this if you have some things on your iPod or maybe some Angry Birds progress you want to keep.

have you try on different wi-fi network? like a public network? i have the same situation, but end up is my home network setting

FINALLY, A FIX THAT REALLY WORKS!!!!:)!!!! I HAVE RESET MY PASSWORD ABOUT TEN TIMES...CREATED TWO NEW EMAIL ADDRESSES PLUS USED THE TWO I HAD...I REBOOTED MY ROUTER...TOOK MY ITOUCH BACK AND EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER...........THANKS FOR THE ADVICE, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT
