I cannot get these pictures off my phone. Does it have anything to do with ICloud? I have a joint iCloud account with my brother & I'm getting all of his photos too. But, I still can't delete my own either. I have like 1,000 photos when I really only have about 300.
I had this problem too. When I went into the photos tab on iTunes, the "sync from" wasn't checked. All I did was check it, chose "selected folders" and didn't check anything else. Then I pressed Apply and it worked! This is probably the easiest way to get the pictures off and there are a lot of people on here that overexplain it and make you confused. I hope I helped (:
Okay so none of these solutions really worked for me. The image capture thing worked for some of the photos, but now I keep getting "import error" messages for no reason and I still have over 500 unwanted photos. No matter what I do I keep getting import error. Any solutions? Oh and I'm using a MacBook Pro.
The only solution that worked was:
It will delete those previously synced photos without adding any others.
The only problem with that solution is that my iPod Touch doesn't connect to my computer anymore through the cable. Can anybody tell me the community page for the solution to that problem? I tried their help page on it but that method didn't work and it won't let me revert to an older driver version.
Windows doesn't detect iPhone: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538
Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1591
You can also try following the steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5376
The first link is the method I used because I have windows and iTunes works perfectly fine. Is there somewhere else I can look for a solution? Windows greys out the option to go back to an older driver software so that's out of the option as well.
Thank you.....thank you.... for posting this as it helped me
I tried following these steps and my iphone still thinks I have 2500 photos on it when i have about 1000 less than that... not sure what I might be doing wrong. I have unchecked all the folders. when i click on photos in my iphone there are no albums etc there but in Settings/About it says the photos are still there and obviously that's taking up storage space!!! Help!! Thanks in advance.
