Iphone 4 and I can't delete photos, please help.

OK, i copied/synced some photos off of my cpu desktop and it automatically created an album called Photo Library. Well i have Camera Roll and Photo Library as albums. I can go into Camera Roll and delete anything just fine since it gives me the option in the lower right hand corner. When i go into the Photo Library album, that it created on its on when i copied the pictures from my cpu to my iphone, it DOES NOT give me the option to delete them in the bottom right corner. I've gone to itunes and windows explorer and it doesnt even show the pictures as even on my phone so i can delete them that way either. It only shows the camera roll album and thats it. Does anyone know how i can get the pictures off my phone?
Thanks

Dell, Windows 7

I had this problem too. When I went into the photos tab on iTunes, the "sync from" wasn't checked. All I did was check it, chose "selected folders" and didn't check anything else. Then I pressed Apply and it worked! This is probably the easiest way to get the pictures off and there are a lot of people on here that overexplain it and make you confused. I hope I helped (:

The only solution that worked was:

  1. Open iTunes and plug in your phone
  2. Go to the 'Photos' tab
  3. Select 'Sync Photos from..'
  4. Pick ANY folder from the drop down menu
  5. Click 'Selected folders'
  6. Do not check any of the boxes under 'Folders'
  7. Click the 'Done' button
  8. Click apply

It will delete those previously synced photos without adding any others.

I tried following these steps and my iphone still thinks I have 2500 photos on it when i have about 1000 less than that... not sure what I might be doing wrong. I have unchecked all the folders. when i click on photos in my iphone there are no albums etc there but in Settings/About it says the photos are still there and obviously that's taking up storage space!!! Help!! Thanks in advance.
