There is no help. What people don't understand is that phone cameras are designed for snap shots in ideal conditions. People are expecting the same results with a phone camera as they get with an expensive DSLR.

It's simply not going to happen. It is impossible to put all of those qualities into a small phone.

Basically the manufacturers have put a $5.00 camera in a cell phone. But, for what it is, most take a decent picture. Again, in ideal conditions. If you know your going to be taking important pictures, or pictures in less than perfect conditions, get a real camera.

Hi Sarduyjorge,

How did you go with this? I have had the same problem. It is not to do with the type of camera or flash, it is definately an iPhone problem. I have an expensive SLR and some of my iPhone photos would rival that of my SLR (without using the zoom of course). Then one day BAM every photo taken with a flash is now foggy and wrong. I used to rave about the iPhone 4 camera but sadly it has not continued to impress me. Photos without the flash are still lovely,

Off to the genius bar for a chat. They usually sort it straight away!

Let me know if you found a solution.

There is no way your iphone camera takes better pictures than an SLR. Its impossible. It only appears that way on the Ipnone screen. The truth is in the printing of the picture. Remember, Pixels have nothing to do with quality.

My old 3 megapixel Nikon D90 takes way better pictures than my 8 mp phone camera. It is all in the quality of the lens and the size of the CCD. MP's are a sales pitch to fool the consumer. However, if your not printing or enlarging photos then this does not matter. Most young consumers don't print their pictures. They are used on wedsites and shared between cameras. Again, its is kind of a design flaw by apple. But only because of the type of camera. Because the flash is small on a phone and the lens is low quality, you have to get close to the subject for it to work. This in turn creats flashback which causes ghosting. The only way to fix this is to put a more powerfull flash on the camera at the opposite end from the lens, which will eat up your battery life. Remember, Phone makers don't know squat about cameras and how the lens and flash work. They just throw something together for the consumer.
