iPhone 4 alarm not working since 01.01.2011

What is the use of setting my alarms for every day if i only need them on certain days?

I dont mean to sound un appreciative of your response but it has not really been of any help to me sorry.

I did what one of the persons in this thread recommended: deleted all the old alarms and set new ones. It seems to be working for the alarms I then set, but for my morning wake up I bought a supermarket alarm and sleep well ever since. I just don't trust the iphone one any more.

You're right. They fixed this problem at the beginning of the year and it's just come back again with the latest OS update. For the past few months the alarm clock has been turning my phone on, and now suddenly it doesn't turn my phone on. Even if I tick every day as a repeat alarm it doesn't work like it did earlier this year as a workaround until Apple fixed the bug. There doesn't seem to be anything else on here about it yet. Does Apple acknowledge the bug yet???

My alarm used to not work every once in a while on ios 4.3.5 but now it's continuously not working on ups 5, I am about to restore from backup and I'll come back tomorrow if that didn't fix it.

Get the app Alarmed. I am not promoting Alarmed there may be other alternatives that will work also. I had the same issue with the built in one. Alarmed has not failed me yet. I first tried Alarm Clock Pro, which was the same issue as Apples joke of an alarm program. With Alarmed running in the background it will always work, at least from my experience. I have a folder named "Trash" with many of the ios included applications, which is just what they are.

Have you tried deleting ALL your old alarm settings and then starting with a new alarm from scratch?

For me that did the trick.

yes - i've tried ALL the suggested fixes, here and elsewhere (bar buying an Android 'phone - yet).

none of them has worked for me.

Restoring from backup fixed it for me

It is now 2012 and this bug is still there however I wasnt late for work my internal body alarm clock seemed to work ok this morning. Wy is the bug still there is it related to the hardware. Paul

Well, here it is January 1, 2012 and my husband was late to work this morning. NO ALARM!! What is up with this?

It is January 1, 2012 and we had no idea this would happen. Husband late for work. The only thing that worked for us was to manually change the date to January 3rd. With the geniuses at Apple, can't someone come up with a fix for this? This has never happened on any other phone that I have had.
