iPhone 4 alarm not working since 01.01.2011

Terrible Alarm clock not working this morning 1 Jan 2011. Normally, it work well and i been using it everyday and until today, it not working and make me late to work. I think a lot of people also face this problem and this actually can be a very serious problem. Hope Apple can give us an answer and solve it as soon as possible otherwise iPhone is not a smart phone anymore.

There has been many bugs and issues with IP4, so far this could be one of the worse product launch by Apple. Steve Jobs may be an excellent presenter, but if iPhone4 continues to suck, i believe Android will be my next phone.

My iphone4 didn't ring alarm this morning either. I missed my piano lesson. I didn't know this device is unreliable!

By the way, I hope apple can improve the os so that the phone alarm can ring while the device is switched off, like nokia.

Btw is not the iPhone is the iOS, iPhone 3G and 3GS have the same problem. The hardware is OK the software is getting bad, unreliable and full of bugs....and this is not good, Apple should put more effort into it and try to think outside the box.

Same issue here with alarm not working today 1/1/2011. iPhone 4 iOS 4.2.1 updated. Tested many times with negative result. Bug with new year transition? Last utilised on 30/12/2010.

Having the same issue with my 3G iPhone with the latest update. Worked out the problem within a few seconds. I'm appalled that such an fault was not discovered during internal testing. Seems like a very obvious thing to check for.

I agree with everyone above!!! I am in Sydney Australia and I set the alarm clock 5am 01/01/2011 to go to the local beach for sunrise and alarm clock didnt go off !!!!!!! Luckily my friend called me to wake up but it was near miss. APPLE please fix !

Recurring alarms do work. I had a non recurring alarm set for 9am today, and when I woke up "totally" refreshed I knew something was up. It was 11:34. Just finished some testing and as I mentioned, set a recurring alarm and it will work fine.

i missed my flight because my alarm didn't go off. I'm in Malaysia GMT+8.

I'm now sitting at the airport hoping there's a no-show on the next flight so I can get to my destination AND NOT LOSE MY JOB.

this bug has cost me so much.

alarm clock dosent work in both IOS 4.1(mine) and 4.2.1(wifes phone),from this morning,
i have checked it with repeat alarm everyday and it works...!!!!

Lijith, I too discovered in the early hours of the new year that the iPhone alarm was not working. Successfully tried the remedy of changing 'Never" to today (Saturday) and all was well. It may be that everything will be normal tomorrow when all time zones have reached 2011.

Yes we are in Myanmar and have 6 devices and none of them work on the alarm, that is iphone 4 3GS and ipod touch, they do work on a recurring alarm and you can also use the timer to count down to your wake up time.

We are flying balloons in Myanmar and 3 of our pilots failed to be woken by our alarms, luckily a couple did wake up or our passengers would not have pilots to do their sunrise flights
