I understand the importance of all of these, I understand that the alarm clock bug was a major fail.
BUT, I worked in a field where I had to be there on time for 33 years. I was never late. But I also learned from people who came before me to never rely on just one method of alarm. Currently (and I'm retired so it is not as important) I have as my first alarm my B&W Zeppelin with a 2nd Generation iPod Nano (Product Red). My second is a Proton clock/radio, set to buzz. This clock radio uses a 9V battery backup in case of a power failure (in fact I just replaced this battery, do so every year on the 1st. Unless I have a bug then it is on the 2nd). If it is really important, like catching a flight to Galveston next week, I set the alarm on the iPhone.
I would think anyone in a critical position should know the importance of not relying on one system.
But as I've said elsewhere:
1. The bug should not have happened.
2. Apple should have released as wide of a press release as they could.
3. Apple should have sent a text message to as many subscribers as possible warning of the issue after they were aware of it.
4. Apple should also have included the information that in order for it to work on the 3rd you need to delete the current alarm and create a new one, not edit the current one.
5. Apple should make sure 4.3 corrects this.
So after all of that, and given everything that has happened, and assuming they are going to fix the code in 4.3, lets get off all the nebulous
****** and you articulate for us what at this point you want Apple to do.
