iPod won't show album artwork on lock screen?

For some reason, on songs that I recently synced to my iPod, it won't show my album artwork on the lock screen. I have a 16gb 4th gen iPod touch. When im playing the song while it's unlocked, it shows the artwork. It also shows it in cover flow. But when i lock it, then press the home button, it shows my wallpaper instead of the album artwork. Why is this only happening to recently synced songs and not my synced songs from a while back?

Yep i have a iphone 3gs 16gb and was having the same problem, so i took the 'restart' advice and it fixed the bug. never occured to me to do that. thanks

I also have the 4th gen ipod touch 32 gig and it does the exact same thing. this was one of the things i noticed that was different from my old ipod touch that didn't have ios 4.2.....

None of us do that because they're not designed to hahaha

I really hope they fix this bug, I mean, it's not a problem, it's just a hassle to have to restart when syncing new songs :/

After I got the latest update for my ipod touch 4th generation and for itunes. I can no longer view the album artwork on my ipod, but it still comes up fine on my computer and i've already tried restarting my ipod. Are there any other ways to get my album artwork back?

The issue is with The newest version of itunes I only updated 1 of the ipods I have and all the ipod had the issue untill I restarted them and now they are ok till they add new music.

Oh my goodness restarting it fixed it! I haven't checked all my songs, but I did with the recent albums I got and all seems to be well with the random songs I picked to test it.

Annoying, but not that much of a hassle. Just hope this bug is fixed one day. I just replaced my 8GB Touch 2G with a 32 GB Touch 4G!

You don't have to switch off the entire iPod Touch to remedy the problem. You can also close the app from multitasking and then activate the Music App again.

Close the app by going into Multitasking and press holding one of the icons (Sending it into jiggle mode) and press the minus button top left of the Music

I tried it before, but only once. I don't guarentee it works everytime, but i'm trying to be optimistic.

This should solve the problem without even switching off the iPod Touch itself, and should bring artwork back to the lock screen: Win! Win!

Lets just hope Apple Inc. gets to the bottom of this minor glitch.

Im kinda having the same problem except i have one of those mini iPod touches and it just wont show cover art at all!! on my iTunes i have cover art for every song but none of it shows up on my iPod! help...PLEASE!!!
