iSync mac and nokia C3 - solved thru Mobical
I just bought a nokia C3 and tried to sync it with my old phone, a nokia N70 (bought in 2006): the 2 phones do not talk to each other: bad show, nokia!
I tried to iSync my contacts thru the mac: iSync does not support nokia C3 (but it supported the N70, so all my contacts are in the mac address book - but could not go the new nokia C3).
I searched for a plug in that would let the mac and C3 talk via iSync: didn't find it.
Thru this forum I got hold of Mobical.net.
After a few attempts, all my contacts (one thousand of them!) went from the mac to the mobical page, then from the mobical page to the C3: great job mobical! and great customer service helped me sort this out:
1. u need to export the contacts from address book as vCard 2.1: u need to set this in: address book=> preferences=>vCard
2. u need to chose vCard 2.1 encoding as Unicode (UTF-8): u need so set this in the same place: book=> preferences=>vCard
After resorting to this forum for many an advice, this is the first time I post a tip: I do hope it will be useful to somebody with a brand new nokia C3 or other phones that do not talk to iSync (or to each other, for that matter!)
thanks 🙂
