Apps will not download

I have 3 downloading apps that are in the "waiting" mode in my dock. They have not downloaded any data at all - they've been in this state for over two hours now.

I have two other computers on the same network that have downloaded the same apps within seconds.

I've tossed cookies, restarted the app store, restarted the computer….what else can I do? Any app I try to download on this one computer just seem to "wait" forever with no activity.

Help?

Thanks

The common theme in nearly all of these scenarios is multiple active IP interfaces - that's the case with Ethernet/Airport, bonding, VLANs, and VPNs.

It seems to me that while there might be multiple bugs involved in the App Store application, there is definitely a bug related to detecting connectivity to the store when you have multiple active interfaces (actually most likely the bug is in the storeagent daemon since it affect background operations and not request/response HTTP operations).

At least there's a workaround until Apple fixes this.

Same problem here. No download from app store. I can only see the purcahses. Both are paused or waiting...I even cant press the resume button.I have an aggregated ethernet, but I cannot seem to turn it off...
System preferences--> Network--> Manage Virtual interfaces--> deleting.
And applying changes.

When I start my Network preferences again: "New connection found" indicating to my aggregated virtual connection. So I can´t remove the aggregation. What to do?
Can anyone help ?

Thanks

So are you guys by any chance on a network where you're required to VPN to connect to the internet? I'm at school and to use our wireless network we have to connect through a VPN. I've been having the same problem trying to download apps from the store and I thought that might be a problem (the app store in iOS doesn't work over VPN).

DING! DING! DING!

I was behind a VPN. Turning this off fixed it immediately. Thanks!

Updated to 10.6.7 and I cannot download, before that I downloaded all my apps. I've trashed the caches, the preferences, the cookies, re-install bundle 10.6.7 on safe mode, verified the account and details... and I've still got the app store waiting when I hit download. Before that I used to have the null account error. Network issue does not solve anything since my only connection is airport. I'm in UK. Any suggestions?, thank you

Well, I've found the solution: to enable Spotlight... since I had it disable, it seems that the App Store application relies heavily in spotlight, which is terrible since I disable spotlight because I don't use it and in a Macbook Air late 2010 with SSD, the constant indexing may cause faster decay of SSD, not to mention the memory tax and CPU load every time mds works... now, you can add another reason for erratic behaviour on the App Store: Spotlight, network locations, cache and account... not a good application...
