Apps will not download

I had the same problem but fixed it by clicking on account options, logging in and just entering my security code for my card again. I think as long as some part of youe personal information is updated then the system lets you start to download

I had same problem for days, just logged both computers off, then waited, restarted, and could see the ghost icon in dock, when hover over it says stop download but that wasnt working so I just dragged them off the dock, then I opened the mac app store and all the waiting icons have disappeared and downloading fine now. just thought it might help. as a quick fix for me. The ghost icons weren't showing before I logged out. so I think the completely logging out and waiting, reset it all. hope this helps you.

I had a similar thing on my i-phone. I plugged it into the my computer opened itunes. Under the sync options under the i-PHONE device in i-TUNES,

• unchecked the apps that were stuck in waiting.
• Click on apply
• sync phone with i-TUNES on computer
• turned phone off and on
• checked the app (that I unchecked earlier)
• click apply
• sync phone with i-TUNES on computer
• turned phone off then on

The app no longer was stuck in waiting.

I had the same problem on my Macbook Pro. All I did was:

Make sure the app in question is in the Launchpad

Hold down the app so it starts wiggling, and hit the "x"

Go back on to the Mac App Store, go to purchases, find the app you were trying to download, and hit "install" or "reinstall"

It should begin installing again
