For the price of trading a g5 at current prices you can get an iMac Intel Core2Duo just as powerful and capable of running the App Store. It won't do Classic. Someone who has a g5 who can't afford an Intel may want to consider a trade.
Not really. It's 30 bucks plus a LOT in licenses of software that is not Snow Leopard - friendly anymore and that you have to upgrade too.
Just not worth it, I think.
The reason that so many have not converted is not because of the money but because of the disaster created for some classes of users when apple/epson/adobe/canon/profiling companies messed up the implementation of ICC profiles for printing giclees and other business prints with apples new implementation. APPLE please fix Colorsync, ICC profiles etc. that is talk to the other stake holders and fix it up.
I for one must go back to 10.5.8 daily to print as I cannot rely on snow leopard for consistent colors when printing.
I just found out about the Mac App Store and I don't have it in my dock. I checked for software updates, installed what was available and restarted my MacBook, but I still don't have it in my dock. I am using 10.6.6
What am I doing wrong?
