4.2.1's lag issue on iPhone 4

Hi there,
I just update to iOS 4.2.1 few days ago, well, the new features were just work fine, but I found a lag problem with my iPhone4, yes, it was LAG!
here are some cases:
1. lag when scrolling(such as in address book or other pages with long contents)
2. lag when opening a folder or closing a folder
3. pressing HOME, the zoom out animation sometimes lag
4. pressing APPs, the zoom in animation maybe lag
5. double pressing HOME, the animation maybe lag,,,,

the issue seems just like a computer in high CPU usage or with low memory, and sometimes it made me a little bit freak out....

after I cleared all the histories and cookies and caches and closed all background APPs, the issue remained,,,

there was no problem when my iPhone 4 was iOS 4.1 and previous versions.
and my iOS 4.2.1 works fine inside the APPs,,,

I wonder if any other users got such lag issue, or it was just something wrong with my iPhone,,,,

please help me, thanks!

I've had my iPhone 4 since last year, and have moved through 4.1 to 4.3.1 and have not noticed any lag on my phone. Mind you, I DO HAVE THE SPOTLIGHT SEARCH options cleared out, and have tried to not have many things running at the same time (3 or less), and turn off notifications for things I don't need. I haven't had to do a restore with every firmware update, and my apps do change here and there.

Don't worry I know to read. Well for me (atleast for now) 4.3.2 solved the lag problem, I don't notice any lag but better wait 2-3 days for testing.

ALL PEOPLE SEND A FEEDBACK TO APPLE REGARDING THIS PROBLEM AND HOPE THEY WILL FIX IT WHEN THEY WILL SEE THOUSANDS OF FEEDBACKS WITH THE LAG PROBLEM. http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Then why did you ask???
ALL PEOPLE SEND A FEEDBACK TO APPLE REGARDING THIS PROBLEM AND HOPE THEY WILL FIX IT WHEN THEY WILL SEE THOUSANDS OF FEEDBACKS

Yet there are barely 15 posters (assuming that all user IDs represent actual different people) reporting here... Why do you expect "thousands" to send feedback?? Why would anyone do so since you now say the problem is "solved"? Your posts are nonsense.

Your posts are nonsense and please stop posting here because you aren't helping, really, you are posting here only off-topic and flame. There are 5 topics about this problem, are you sure are only 15 users with this problem? and think how many people are having these problem but don't post here or they doesn't know about Apple forums.

Oh, and please stop deleting my posts with no reason (yea I know you are like a moderator here).

I will keep posting as long as you post double-talk and crapola. It's you who is being "unhelpful" with misleading, inaccurate, and downright fabricated posts.

Count them yourself. Pretty much the same "people" post in all the threads. Sure, there are more that think they have the problem than post, but it's nonsense to think that "thousands" will send feedback to Apple when only a handful bother to post about it in this forum.

No, I am NOT a moderator and I have nothing to do with your posts getting deleted. You managed that all by yourself. If your posts get deleted, it's because they violate the forum Terms of Use, as explained in the emails you received.

I don't quite understand why you are so aggressive towards people with this issue, Modular. I also don't understand why you continue to post when you say there's no issue, and there's obviously nothing useful you can do.
Obviously, there's an issue if people are having a problem. You can't make a blanket statement that all units have the issue, and honestly, likely none of us understand what is causing the issue, but you also can't make the blanket statement that there is no issue, when there are indeed people with these issues.

You should read what I actually posted in this thread rather than mischaracterize my position. There are lots of reasons why phones have "lags" are generally sluggish. It can be due to low memory state of the phone, (most common), malfunctioning apps hogging the CPU, over use of background activity.

Basic maintenance of the phones such as restarting, resetting, and deleting apps from the recent used bar usually helps, as does limiting heavy use of push notifications (i.e Facebook). This is why it's common in demo phones in stores - they're continuously abused and rarely maintained.

The issue here is that there is no constant description of what exactly is the "problem" the poster is talking about and the insistence that it's due to a bug in the iOS version. As the title of the thread suggest, the OP and several others blamed it on 4.2.1 - all was fine until then. However others claimed is started as early as 4.0 and yet others not until 4.3 or 4.3.1. Several are still claiming it's in EVERY iP4, with the rest of the 99.999+% of us being too oblivious and lame to see/understand it. At least 2 proclaimed it's demonstrated in the iPhone TV add put out by Apple. It's only those individuals I respond to.

Then perhaps Apple needs to limit the amount of applications that can run in the background at a time, or change the point in which the applications are automatically removed due to low RAM availability. It seems that may be the issue, the operating system should do a better job of managing its resources. Personally, I find the multitasking pretty useless on every device I've ever used, I don't understand why people find it so important.

It's not the running apps. I could reinstall 4.3/4.3.1/4.3.2 again and no apps running at all. Launch Cut the Rope and it has no animation. Then close it and it lags when closing for a few seconds. Happens on other apps too, just an an example. It does not matter if you have any in the multitasking tray or not. It's a bug in the iOS animations. I am now on 4.2.1 and this is not present what so ever. It's 4.3+

If it's "100% iOS based", first showing up in 4.3 and not present in 4.2.1, how do you explain the title of this thread? How do you explain those who claim it's also in 4.1 and even 4.0? (All of them are "certain" it's a bug in the iOS.) What about those who say it's "solved" in 4.3.2?

Maybe hacking/jailbreaking your phone has something to do with it? Maybe it's that things are as they occur to you by definition?
