Open smi. files

Easy-PhotoPrint is a Windows program and the smi files are a proprietary Canon format. I do not see a Macintosh version doing a quick search on Canon's web site. You may have to contact the person who uploaded the files and ask that they be saved in standard format such as jpeg or tiff.

I have the same problem! Please help!

Easy-PhotoPrint -program is also for Mac and .smi is supposed be self-mounting image. But it doesn't mount!

I tried almost everything: DiskMounter, DiskUtility, Stuffit, Toast 7, I've renamed it to .bin, smi.bin., .iso, I tried to mount it in classic (with DiskCopy) - nothing helps!

Only conclusion seems to be that the file is corrupt originally - it's from Canon's official site! Why the heck couldn't they put the usual .dmg-file?

Any suggestions?

Could you post an URL for the download, or good directions to it. I have Canon Easy-PhotoPrint 3.3.0.6 (or something) installed on my eMac. The software came with the printer on a CD. I just opened it for the first time, so have no idea about it.

I suspected there must be a Mac version, but I could not locate if on Canon's web site (watch it be right in front of my nose if I go back there).

One thing you can do is to open any graphic file, and then do a Save As and see if Canon's format is one of the options.

I found Canon's site a tad confusing, and they use pop-up windows. You need to select a printer first, and then you get to "Drivers and Software."

I think I discovered that I needed to turn off popup blocking. I never thought to look under printers - I was looking for the program directly. I found the Windows version that way, so I probably assumed I should find the Mac version that was as well. Dumb assumption.
