AirPlay/Apple TV won't stream iPod or Pandora with iPhone 4

For some odd reason, I am unable to use AirPlay to get either my iPod music or Pandora to play on Apple TV using my iPhone 4. The AirPlay icon appears in both apps and I am able to select "Apple TV" upon tapping on AirPlay, but neither of the two will appear on my TV, nor do I hear the audio. What's even more strange, I am successfully able to use AirPlay with YouTube and the photos on my iPhone but Pandora and my iPod music won't work.

Any suggestions?

Check the audio/video settings on your ATV2. The sound effects need to be set to ON, and you might try changing audio output to 16 bit. This worked for me, and I am streaming everything I can find now!! Please post if this helps you.

That is impressive! Changed to 16 bit and that resolved EVERYTHING! Nice work. (By the way, I also use dd-wrt: airplay on ethernet and everything else on WiFi.)

Thanks so much.
