Voice memo shuts off with incoming call

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the Voice Memo from shutting off when an incoming call rings?

Followup, I've been using the Voice Memo in Airplane Mode for a while now with no interruptions. Seems like that might be the only current solution.

I discovered Airplane mode also which works fine, though I haven't had a Facetime call yet while recording, so I don't know about that. Doesn't Airplane mode disable Wifi, so that shouldn't be an issue?

I agree with the idea of a warning to "end call and answer phone" rather than always have to remember to set to Airplane.

This is a big problem for me as I record lectures! Apple even has a tag for lecture in the app so they definately suport use in this manner. The recording just stops!! When a call comes. Today i was on airplane mode connected to university vpn and a facetime call ended my recording. Phone was no complete silent and placed in a good position on a desk. Lecture ends after 1.30 hrs. Attention to phone to stop recording, welcome to iphone one missed facetime call voice note only 8 mins long.

The only way I know is to put it on airplane mode before or after starting the recording. I would love to learn of an alternative to that myself.

This is from 2011 and this issue still hasn't been fixed. Stop being lazy Apple!

Having to put my phone in airplane mode every time I want to do a voice memo is stupid. This makes me want to jailbreak my phone all over again. Stop releasing dumb new features and fix something that is old and important. If your new phone had this fixed it would be the only reason I'd upgrade.

Due to an extended illness (and a foggy brain/horrible memory along with it), I record all of my doctor appointments so I can remember what their comments and diagnosis were. Many times these recordings have been shut off due to incoming calls, so I'm hoping Apple comes up with a solution.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.
