How to reinstall an app?

if I install an app by mac app store, then I delete it.
How to reinstall that app? in the mac app store, the status is still installed. I can not reinstall it.

Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Did you remember to delete the "Preferences" of an app? For example, I wanted to reinstall Call Of Duty 4. First I deleted the icon, then the Application Support, and then the Preferences (/library/preferences). It worked after that. Im pretty sure this is what the App store looks for when deciding whether the app is there or not. I might be wrong....

Thanks, @JohhnyApocolypse. This worked for me as well - app: 'Shades'. I don't use Launchpad and would never have thought to look there...
