Mr Neoo,
Pbsetup 1.3 IS (without any doubt - go look at the file info) a PPC compiled app.
Let me say that again in case anyone else missed it:
PBSETUP 1.3 IS A PPC ONLY APP. 🙂
Just because it runs on your current Intel Mac doesn't mean it's not PPC only; it means your version of OS X has a compatibility "bridge" called Rosetta installed, that allows PPC software to run on Intel hardware.
That is why it will not run on Snow Leopard (default install) or on Lion (any type of install), but will run on older versions of OS X running Intel hardware. Or, if you install Rosetta manually with Snow Leopard it will run. Lion users don't have that option. Apple is no longer supporting any type of PPC software via its most recent operating system and all future operating systems, including in the installer (Rosetta is gone).
All Evenbalance has to do (as they do Windows and Linux) is recompile their app to run on Intel (probably with very minor changes only), and redistribute it as 1.4. Would take one of their volunteers or whoever runs that system maybe one day, two days tops to get it done.
Also: I tried tried the servers again. One of them let me play for about 3 minutes, then kicked me. After that the kick is immediate on all other servers I tried.
If aspyr would just release the new COD for Mac and new PBsetup we wouldn't have this problem. 🙂
