cod4 punkbuster issue

Polo1661, and you saved the file mc002301.mac to the folder PB/DLL? With this exact name and extension?

I think I figure this out by myself.

evenbalance.com doesn't tell us full file path but they just says pb/htm.

Then, lot of mac gamer think that kind folder is at application package folder.

But it doesn't. Here is what today I got.

If you got kick with waring about punkbuster and your os is OS X 10.7, go to this url http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-cod4.php and download For "pbsec.htm" in PunkBuster (COD4) For players line at Security Files section.

And put that file in this folder.

~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/htm

Then punkbuster warning is gone.

It's doesen't work. Game serever says "PunkBuster Client:WARNING: PB Kicks for Non-standard Characters and Loked Names and Level 1 PB Restrictions on this Server"

I also getting that warning but I still can play MP without getting kicked.

Download following file as mc002301.mac but not mc002301.mac.txt.

Then I can play without kick but still got some warning:

"PunkBuster Client:WARNING: PB Kicks for Non-standard Characters and Loked Names and Level 1 PB Restrictions on this Server"

Then I can play Team Death Much 20 min without kick.

I think this problem is solved.

NOTICE: EVENBALANCE HAS POSTED A MAC UPDATE TODAY

It's not for a new Pbsetup but they have created a new mc002301.mac file that goes in teh pb/dll folder. Once that's there the problem goes away (for me at least). So, if you download the new HTM files and they don't work and your sec file continuously disappears after installing it, go to the main COD 4 page and read the May 18 update.

This has not worked for me or several others I've been conversing with running 10.7.4

First, the directory ~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/ exists but there's nothing in it. I do have a pb directory in /Applications/Call of Duty 4/ and it contains an htm and dll directory.

I've updated both the pb/htm and pb/htm directories with the suggested files, added the pbsec.htm file, copied the entire pb directory to ~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/ but the problem persists.

I purchased Call of Duty 4 from App sotre March 2011. Our application version could be defferent. Mine is latest version. If vesion is different, things is not going exactry same.

And then finally I got a no kick and no warrnig!

I have OSX 10.7.4 and with this way works perfect for me:

Download

For PlayersFilename: pbsec.htm

PB Client v2.301 for Mac Filename: mc002301.htm

PB ClientA v1407 for Mac Filename: ma001407.htm

and put it in ~Applications/Call of Duty 4/Contents/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm

And download: mc002301.mac

And then put it in below folder.

~Applications/Call of Duty 4/Contents/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/dll

I am getting kicked 😠 after 10-15 too.

I have download the file mc002301.htm, the file mc002301.mac and the file pbsec.htm and still getting kicked.

They have to do something about it.

He's a youtube vid i found. Might be some help, worked for me but qualities bit low so just put it up.

"mc002301.mac" put it in below folder ~Applications/Call of Duty 4/Contents/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/dll
