Report to Apple - submission fails after crash

Google Chrome and then Mail both quit "unexpectedly" and generated the usual Apple Report but when I clicked "Send to Apple" I get submission failed messages. Ay idea what's going on and how to fix it?
Thanks

Hey Guys
Thank God i dont feel like an idiot now. After the last apple upgrade a few days ago EVERYTHING HAS GONE MAD!!! Ableton live wont open, Firefox freezes my whole comp, I really dont know what to do as apple wont let the reports go through. Really disappointed with this as Ive never had any problems before with this. I hope that this isnt a glitch apple installed on porpouse to get people to upgrade to the new system!!!
APPLE HEEEEEELP!!!

I've also been having a problem with problem reports not going through! When I try to submit a problem report, it says "submitting to Apple", then a pop-up stating that Submission failed: Your report could not be submitted. Please try again later. But it never works. I've not been having (much) more trouble than usual with Safari crashing (or needing a force quit), but it is annoying that I can't submit the problem reports. I've noticed a similar thread on this at: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12950811&#12950811

Apple doesnt seem to give a crap!!!! I already started a topic because after security upgrade a few days ago, Ableton, Word, Photoshop, Firefox, and at first I thought everything NON APPLE started crashing, no report can be sent, no answer from ANY apple person, except, repair permissions, repair disk, i checked on quite a few forums, EVERYONE is reporting the same problems, Crashes and no way to send reports. APPLE ***!!! Are you really that desperate to get everyone to 10.6??? Now a new thing started happenig, Finder keeps restarting, burner keeps spitting out cds, **** OF AN UPDATE!!! And youd think they would check for compatabilities before giving it to us!!!. Anyone from apple can answer how this happened and how we can downgrade?? Because NOTHING that theyve suggested seems to work.

Here is the best I can come up with for the end error report failing:

Feb 5 13:13:41 user-users-imac-2 SubmitReport[2150]: missing kCRProblemReportProblemTypeKey

Feb 5 13:13:42 user-users-imac-2 /usr/sbin/ocspd[2153]: starting

Feb 5 13:13:42 user-users-imac-2 SubmitReport[2150]: CFReadStreamGetError() returned: 3

Feb 5 13:13:42 user-users-imac-2 SubmitReport[2150]: Failed to submit compressed hang report for Google Chrome

I am just curious as I have and older dual core imac 1.83 ghz and OS 10.5.8 and My browser seems to hang when I am logged into facebook or any other memory intensive site for too long or have too many tabs open that it is simply a memory allocation problem and unless I upgrade to the newer model machine and OS that these problems will not go away. Like I said thats just my thoughts.

Well, I've never found it of any use to submit them, if that's any consolation, I believe that is there simply to msake you feel Apple cares. 😟

OH, they might care & include a fix on the next OS release, but hoping for a fix for the OS version you're running seems futile.

I agree, I think the "submit report to Apple" is sort of like the "close door" button on the elevator -- it makes you feel better to push it (repeatedly) when you are in a hurry and the elevator door won't close, but in fact, the doors close on a timer and the close door button doesn't do anything. I can't imagine that Apple has been paying an army of engineers to analyze crashes happening under 10.5 (or even 10.6 or 10.7 for that matter).

I too am having problems when trying to close Adobe Reader. The application closes but then produces a report/relaunch/reopen pop up. When I attempt to report, I get the report problem window and, eventually, get the "submission failed, try again later" message. This has been going on since about the 1st of the year.....I guess I'll just not send reports from now on?
