Upgrading from 10.5.8 to 10.6.6

Hey guys,
So I know there have been tons of posts like this, but I wanted to make my own so that I can get specific advice for my setup. I have a black macbook from early 2008, that has 2.4 ghz, and 2 GB of ram. I just upgraded to 10.6 a few weeks ago (it installed 10.6.3 and then I installed the system updates), and since then my computer has been freezing constantly and also the internet connection just stops working (this happens with both a wired and wireless setup, like it will say I am still connected but no website will load for a while..). I have restarted my computer multiple times, and repaired the disk permissions, but still no avail. My computer is being really annoying... what should I do? I have 30 GB of space left, but I had even less when I had leopard since I got like 10 gigs back.

Any extra plugins you installed while in Leopard may not be Snow Leopard compatible.
Any left over data from a PowerPC migration including drivers could cause that problem.
Recently Adobe had an upgrade which installed a Growl pligin without many people's knowledge, and that could be a problem.

Any third party routers may not be Snow Leopard compatible with their firmware are two reasons I can think. A WiFi hotspot such as a coffee shop could solve that problem, or hooking up directly into your modem by ethernet can too.

What we need to do is eliminate possible causes one by one until we discover the culprit.

Hmm.. ok now I understand. Let see... I installed some Flash killer extension, I forget what its called, but if you have the extension on, flash doesn't work unless you click on the part where flash is, (maybe called "Clicked to Flash"?).

I don't think its a wireless/wired connection, because I was also having the same problems when I was using a wired connection.

When i go to updates there is nothing new. If i try to upgrade to Snow Leopard it says to buy it from the Mac App store.. Durh i cant do that without the update..

Anyone know what i can do to sort this? My Mac definitly has the correct spec to run it.
