Create chapters in iDVD

I have already asked a similar thing in iMovie forum, but then thought maybe here is better..

I have one movie on one file captured from a dv cam and want to burn it to a DVD

Since iDVD wont let me get rid of that menu system and just play the movie then i thought I may as well split sections of it in to Clickable chapters on the first menu screen.

So how can this be done in iDVD...or do i have to go and cut the original movie in to individual projects in iMovie first , then export as movies, then drag back in to iDVD. I tried the import function of iDVD...but the import seem sto play...but there is not menu item for it..Looks like I can only get a menu item by dragging the movie clip in from the media browser

thanks

Neil

Rare but it does happen sometimes. As you can see from my profile I too am using a pc at times. In addition my wife who teaches here also uses only a pc now at school. She had to trade in her mac 😟 as part of the district's cost savings measure. Not really sure how much money that will save the district (if any). Might even cost them more in the long run.

Thanks for the link to Burn..I'll try it

SD...glad to see I am not the only one to use Windows some time too.
I use old PC's built up with FreeNAS as a network backup system. Chronosync on the Mac and DletaCopy (Windown rsync port) on the PC, both send data to the FreeNAS box in the attic... Hackintosh on farm workshop music player PC...and Xubuntu Linux on a laptop.

All different and all with there good and bad points
