ringtones in itunes but not syncing to iphone

First, in Itunes you have to select the option to manually manage your music and videos, then delete all the un-highlighted ringtones in your Iphone's ringtone section, then sync your phone, then drag all the ringtones from your library's ringtones to your Iphone, boom it works - Using Ipone 4s and IOS 5.1

Thanks, Alex. Unfortunately when I deleted the ringtones, the one that wasn't syncing disappeared and it's never returned. I've checked in purchased music and it's not there either. I don't know what happened to it. And I don't know exactly what you mean by draging all the ringtones to my iPhone. In case, can you explain that? Thanks!

No Problem. So your ringtones are in the RingtoneMaker app - in Itunes under your Iphone applications, drag them onto your desktop, then make sure the option to manually manage your music and videos is ticked. Then you drag the ringtones to your Library, you will then find them under TONES, then you can drag them from the Libraries TONES to your IPHONE's TONES, then sync your phone. That is how I got it to work. Let me know if you have any further troubles, good luck!!

I had the same problem. I tried many options listed finally worked out with the below option.

I deleted the ringtones from them iTunes (move to recycle bin). Then dragged them to the desktop, then imported them back into iTunes. From there they sync'd just fine.

I have the ringtones in my Iphone 4s

I am having the same issue after the latest iTunes and iPhone updates.

My iTunes actually states it is copying/syncing my tones (37 of them) to the iPhone. The phone shows 10 - 16 tones. The Tones available are random. There is no telling which of the 37 tones will show up.

I have deselected sync to delete the tones from my phone. I have deleted the tones from iTunes and then added the files (tones) back to iTunes.

All the tones play fine in iTunes. Sync the tones to the phone and they vanish.
