Playlist order resorted when burning playlist to CD-R.
Thanks.

Why would I view it in Windows Explorer?
It will display songs in the actual order.

Except they do.
System prefs > Mouse (or Trackpad).
Set the right button to Secondary button.
Trackpad is Secondary click - Tap wtih 2 fingers.
Also, ctrl click is right button.
FYI: You responded to a post from 2.5 years ago.
I responded to a post from 2.5 years ago because I was searching for my own answers to why my iTunes playlist was not functioning correctly. There is no time limitations on inquiries or replies to inquiries. That is the purpose of this forum to get answers both now and into the future.
Thanks for letting me know about the right click possibilities on a Mac. Your first instructions did not work on my Mac though. There is no Secondary button when I go into System prefs, but the ctrl click will do. Thanks. This still does not solve my own iTunes problem but I learned something new at least.
Which mouse/Mac/OS do you have?
The Mighty Mouse & Magic Mouse both allow for left & right click.
I have an ancient Mac that was pre-Intel so I have Pro Mouse.
I have Maverick and was just trying to burn a 3 song playlist from 'the playlist'. Right clicked on the playlist in the left hand column and thought it would all be ok.......... but no, it changed the order of my songs. Not happy - did this 3 times and each time it reversed my order. I was making a DEMO CD so it was important that the order was correct.
Then I tried the good old fashioned way. I went to FILE MENU and chose BURN PLAYLIST TO DISC and it burned in the correct order, the exact order of my playlist. It burned perfectly 3 times in a row.
Worked for me so hope this helps the Peeps out there too.
Ok so I have the answer.
If you open your CD in any other device after the Burning has completed, it WILL play in order. For some reason iTunes jumbles the CD order.
Put it to the test in windows media player if you want.
No worries,
I believe the problem, at least for me, is that I had previously sorted a CD alphabetically by Song Title, so my CD was showing that sort order after burning. I re-sorted one of my CDs that burned out of order, and burned the playlist again, and it showed up in the correct order. I do believe these are all burning in the correct order, just being viewed sorted how the last CD was sorted that you viewed in iTunes.
Thanks, being an old codger (Mac and otherwise) I don't readily think right-clicking. I had been turning more CD-R's into coasters than anytime since the old days when 2X was a fast burn and you had to use the right wrist action to get blank to burn.
Yes Thank you. This is the solution. Now I can hear Hamilton in the right order after blowing 3 discs. iTunes has gotten worse and is headed to ****. 😟
Wait...what is the answe?! I'be wasted 6 effing discs tryna burn Hamilton!
