Wireless Keyboard with Numeric keypad? why doesn't Apple make one?

Why doe Apple only have 1 Wireless Keyboard without a numeric keypad and not 2 one with a numeric keypad and one without? because i believe they would have a number of costumers willing to buy a wireless Apple keyboard with a numeric keypad on the right like the wired Apple keyboard.

Why doesn't Apple make a wireless keyboard with a numeric keypad???

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5), numeric keypad

So who's surprised that Apple announced the next generation Magic Keyboard yesterday and still refuses to offer a full-size version? As frustrated as we all are, we're obviously in the minority on this one. They're now shipping the wireless keyboard with all Macs. My new fear is that they'll discontinue the current wired, full-size keyboard since it no longer even closely resembles the new Magic Keyboard design. I suppose it's time to buy a spare to keep on hand for future use, at least until they eliminate USB at some point. 😮

With the software we use the keys on the numeric keypad perform different functions than the number keys at the top. A keyboard without the number pad is more than just inconvenient for us, it's useless. The keys on the number pad perform critical functions not duplicated elsewhere on the keyboard.

Until now we've dealt with it by stringing a USB cable over top of the mixing console, but a change in workflow has made a wired keyboard a real problem (the keyboard and mouse now need to move back and forth from sitting on the console to a side desk several times each day). Apple's refusal to offer a full-function wireless keyboard just became an unexpected, unwelcome and hard to accept show-stopper.

Personal and situational bias aside, I'd bet a week's pay that if buyers were asked whether it's worth losing the numeric keypad to get a smaller footprint, the vote would be 25% yes, 25% no, and 50% don't care.

Please Apple, the cost of offering a full wireless keyboard can't possibly be enough to justify continuing to impose a surprisingly high level of inconvenience for your pro users.

I do also want the wireless Apple Keyboards to have a full set of arrow keys and the numeric pad as well.

The Logitech Solar model does a good work but lack the caps lock signal on.

If Apple option is only wired, then I'm now looking into an old school tactile feedback keyboard, like the Matias and the Daskeyboard, they are wired and despite the high price could be nice treat for an old Mac Plus keyboard feeling.

Still old model with USB 2.0

Apple, I am reading so many posts crying out for a wireless keyboard with a number pad. I tried your wireless and purchased a number pad. Just isn't the same feel. It appears that the reason you are not creating a wireless board with a number pad is you want us to have the functionality of the usb ports in the board. Please read the comments, many of us would be willing to give up the USB ports in order to have the full keyboard. So please develop and offer both, see which board sells the most. You might be surprised.

I ended up buying the discontinued keyboard that mac used to make with the old iMacs (think the rainbow ones, circa 2003). It works great and is comparable to a Mechanical Keyboard but quieter. It has a numeric pad and is bluetooth enabled, runs off 4 AA batteries, and was super easy to pair. Search for product number Apple Mac Wireless Keyboard Bluetooth A1016-M9270LL/A
