Replace iPhone 4 battery

Does replacing the iPhone 4 battery erase the phone's memory or does it stay in Flash memory? Understand very well opening the case voids warranty, just asking if I replace battery myself keeps everything intact. Seems like VERY EASY procedure.

Modular747, Thank you for answering my question. My battery is not failing, problem is, when you take phone to Apple, they clear out the phone and have to put everything back in it. Bought an OEM spare battery for when this one goes for $12, my phone has lots of mods which I need to keep and don't want redone.
