Strange Fonts Showing Up!?!?!?

Hi,

Just used Migration Assistant to transfer my files from my MBP to new Mac Pro.

Now, the system fonts seem to be displaying funky in Safari, Quickview and other apps.

Any ideas for a fix?

It looks like you have a junk font that you need to get rid of. Usually these are found in Home/Library/Fonts. It is probably masquerading under a common name like Times or Helvetica.

Thanks, Tom,

Very helpful. Used Resolve Font Duplicates in Font Book and that did the trick.

Any way to get the Safari fonts back to the default look - they seem a little off still.

Hard to tell without being able to see what you mean. Usually such things are caused by substitution by non-standard fonts being added. So resolving duplicates should fix it, unless you got rid of the wrong ones in some cases. Or maybe font caches need cleaning.
