ACMT Re-Certification Question

Just getting certified (ACMT) and I have a question for any current ACMT people.
I have passed the 9L0-008 exam and will be taking the 9L0-062 exam next month. I trained myself using the Apple Care Technician Training and have had access to the materials online. These materials include all of the info to study plus an outline of the exam sections and questions. My question is this...

One year from now when it is time for me to do the recertification exams, what will I have access to in regards to exam preparation material and exam outline? I noticed in the area I have had access to that there is material for the recertification exams, but I am going to lose access to that on February 16th because that is when my Apple Care Tech Training subscription runs out.

Can anyone give me feedback regarding the recertification process and exam material availability?

Thanks,
Steve

You should re-certify before your subsciptions runs out. You can re-certify starting 60 days before the end of your certification, so you should be able to certify for two years with just one subscription.

In any case, I don't think you'll have access to technical manuals without proper GSX access (you get one when you work at an AASP), and starting this year, they are essential to the hardware exam.

If you work for an AASP with a GSX contract, you will have access to the training materials on the GSX site. If not, contact svc.trng@apple.com and ask them.

The training materials are available on the GSX site. However GSX was updated to GSX2 this week and I can't find them.

Some advice: Do not initially certify just after October. The new tests come out Oct. 15 every year. The trianing material usually comes out early Oct. I inadvertently did this and so every year, I can't get the materials until Oct and have to take the test between Oct 15 and Nov 11 (I first certified Nov 11). I try to recertify before the deadline and so each year I lose a couple of days. This year I have to recertify after Oct 15 but before Nov 5. So, do your initial certifications before Oct 15 or a couple of months after. I will likely have to recertify twice this year to change my date. I'll probably do it again in Nov or Dec. so it is after the new test come out, but not to far after, so I am still somewhat current.
