i just purchased apple tv (the new little black one) so that i can watch netflix on my tv. im trying to figure out what i can and cant do with airplay. my computer is connected and i would like to stream things like hulu or be able to put a keynote presentation on the "big screen" to see how it will look before my big juior research topic presentation. how can i do this? so far i have only figured out how to stream from something that is in my itunes library from my mac. is there a way to get my entire desktop to show up on my tv using apple tv and/or airplay?
thanks!!

I just read this today on the Internet:
FDA approves iPad, iPhone radiology app for mobile diagnoses...

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the first diagnostic radiology app for use in viewing medical images to make diagnoses using Apple's iPad and iPhone, a title that won the Apple Design Award for "Best iPhone Healthcare & Fitness Application" in 2008.

I used Keynote for over four years giving two presentations a week. Most of the Keynotes had over 80 slides and builds with 7 to 10 videos. I didn't have a laptop only a desktop computer. What a drag in setting that up each time. If I only had the iPad :-)

Given time the iPad and the Apple Tv will take off.

in undergrad, the majority of people had macs, but i was still using a pc at the time. in vet school, i got tired of having to send my pc in for repair (different issues, each time but i was without it a lot and that doesnt fly in my program) so i bought a mac and havent looked back since. i was told by my tech support that they "dont support macs" and they try to convince me to go back to a pc. our tech support is horrible. even my classmates that have pcs have major issues. recently i went several weeks without the ability to send email from any device (phone, computer, ipad, web server) and they couldnt do anything about it, blamed it on the "server" and "isp" when they couldnt even get it to work while plugged in to ethernet in their own office. i guess its all in your experience. while not perfect, i have far fewer problems with my mac than i ever had with pc's (knock on wood) and 2 years later, im very happy with the switch. but i dont judge others choices and if someone is happy using a pc then im fine with that. to each his or her own, as my mom says. i guess it depends what big leagues you step into. each platform has strengths and weaknesses that lend themselves to different applications. the big leagues for me is reproductive medicine and research and from my undergrad research experience, macs fill that niche nicely and considering that ucsd is currently ranked 14th in the world thats enough for me.
i hope i never feel the need to put away my "toys" because it will mean that i no longer consider work fun and its time to find another way to use my dvm degree.

can i stream "anything" on my computer to airplay?
