Whatever the official release date for the Verizon iPhone is - when it will be available for sale at Apple and Verizon stores and any other retailers will be the day you receive it or the day before. I recieved my iPhone 4 pre-order with AT&T the day before the release date at retail stores.
I ordered my via Verizon's site on 2/3 @ 1230 am... thirty minutes after opening and I just got an email this evening... states my phone will arrive on Monday, weather permitting.
I ordered from Apple, and my order still just says "prepared for shipment".
I started trying to order from Verizon, but kept getting errors. If people who ordered from Verizon gets their phones on Monday while I have to wait until Thursday, I'mm be frustrated.
this is true, I received an email tonight (ordered the iphone @ 1235 am PST on 2/3); no word from verizon until notification my phone has been shipped, not the best service in notification; but happy that they are shipping out my phone with an anticipated date of receiving it by Monday. Now the bad news, not sure where they are shipping it from, but Fedex has a severe winter advisory notice on their website and some offices are closed and service is really disrupted. So if verizon mailed out 2,000 iphones this morning - the odds of most of us seeing our new phone will likely miss the Monday delivery date. Needless to say, I was expecting it on Thursday the 10th so anytime before that is awesome.
Wanted to update my initial post. I have now received confirmation from Apple that the phone has shipped. It is being delivered by UPS and should arrive early in the week.
I received shipping confirmation as well. Scheduled delivery date is next Tuesday via UPS. Some customers who purchased from Verizon website mentioned that their phone was enroute from state side warehouses. I purchased mine on the Apple site and it is arriving by way of China. Anyone else have the same shipping origin?
