Can't update apps

Since a few days, I am unable to update the apps installed on my iPod Touch 1G.

In the App Store, I select the app that I want to update, and I can see a blue "Update" button (with a small "+" sign in the upper left corner).
I select this button, and it is replaced by a green "Install" button. I select it, and the "Update" button reappears.
Basically the update does not start and I can only flip between the "Update" and "Install" buttons.

I have enough free memory on the device and I am able the install new apps. It's the update that appears to be broken.

Any ideas ?

Hi everyone.

I'm having the same problem. I have an Ipod 4G, with iOS 4.3.5 and iTunes 10.

I can see that I have 7 apps to update on iTunes but when I try to update them I get the "No update are currently available". When I try to update the apps from within the iPod I get the message "can't connect to iTunes Store".

have you tried turning the ipod fully off and rebooting it, my ipod 4th gen would not update any apps, so i fully turnedit off and back on the trired updateing the app again and it updated

Good news everyone!

Today (September 25, 2011) my Ipod 4G updated all my apps OTA.

I didn't make any changes in the configuration... it just happened... 🙂
