Difference between 9.0 and 9.0.4

Hello,

Although I never had the actual retail disk for OS 9, I wanted to know what differences are there between 9.0 and 9.0.4?

Mid-2010 Mac Pro W3580, 5770 Radeon, G4 PB 1.67 DL/HD, G4 Pismo 550, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 8GB DDR3 1333 Memory, dual superdrive, OS 9.2.2, OS X Public Beta, 10.4.11

The incremental releases 9.0.1, 9.0.2, and 9.0.3 were released only as model-specific versions which shipped with a machine (as was OS 9.2.0).

Public (general) releases of OS 9 on retail (universal) Install CDs are 9.0, 9.0.4, 9.1, and 9.2.1; in addition, 9.2.2 was issued as a downloadable public release.

The original Pismos shipped with OS 9.0.2; later ones came with 9.0..3 and the last onens with 9.0.4.

Some unique versions not covered or indicated by incremental release numbers, For example, the G4 (Digital Audio) came with OS 9.1, but it was a model-specific version which incorporated Finder v. 9.1.1. That G4 model can not use a retail OS 9.1 Install CD.

So, I take it my Pismo won't take a 9.0 only disk? I have to try it. According to my restore/install disks it came with 9.0.4. I found 9.0 on macintosh garden.org and I am going to burn it to a disk and try to boot the pismo under 9.0 and see if the original release works.. just for kicks.

Oh one more thing.. what did you mean: original pismos? I thought there was only one Pismo and it came with 9.0.4 though.
