Adjusting Monitor Sharpness

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro 15 i7, How can I adjust the clarity, sharpness of the monitor besides the brightness adjustment. I have the 1440x900 pixel. I looks like it's not sharp enough.
Will this be okey to look if I attach it to a 27 inches monitor by Samsung?

Every LCD display is sharpest when used at its maximum resolution, and blurry at any other. Apart from choosing the highest available resolution, there is no way to adjust sharpness on any LCD display.

Do you have it set to that resolution? If not, that's the problem.

Not really true. When you decrease resolution, it's applied some kind of interpolation for projecting, let's say, 1366x768p on a 1920x1080p monitor. Depending on the interpolation method applied, borders, textures and fonts look too smooth, so you have to apply a sharpen algorithm. Technically, it's a normal process and any interpolation usually comes with a sharpen algorithm. If you can't adjust these settings, it's a software fault for not providing fine adjusts on display resolution.
