Grey App Icons on Ipod Touch

Hey there.

I have a 32 GB iPod touch with retina display that I bought in October. About a week ago, I noticed that several of the apps icons were nothing more than grey squares. The apps themselves work, but the icons are not showing up correctly. This affects about 20 apps. Any suggestions for a fix??

Have you tired resetting your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Yes, and the problem persists. I would rather not have to restore my iPod to factory settings since I will have to redownload the latest iOS update and I have limited usage, but if I have to, I will.

Could they be updated apps that were not completed/downloaded? If so I would ensure that the apps are updated on your computer and then sync.

Please let me know if you get this figured out I have the same problem. Tried resetting didn't work. I can't download new apps either then the icons went gray. How do you reboot?

Hello: Encountered similar issue of gray apps on iPod. I believe a download seesion may have been interrupted. Resolved my issue by finding a wi-fi hot spot, logged in, and within a minute, all apps returned to normal mode.

Having same issue too...very frustrating....reboot only solved problem for a short time before it started happening again. Wifi and internet access did not solve problem for me either. HELP PLEASE
