Home Screen Background

So, my iPod is a iPod touch 3 Generation. I upgraded from 3.1.3 to 4.0 to 4.1 to 4.0 to 4.2.1. Now, I know a bunch of people can change their home scrren to make it look cool, but I can't!!! I got an app that can create a home screen and I created a bunch and it still won't!

If you could help ASAP I would greatly thank you...

Are you sure you have a 3G iPod? If it is 8 GB then it is a 2G. See:

Oh, it's 2 Generation, can I Still do it or do I have to ask Apple to do it for the next iOS for 2 generation?

well i have a ipod 3rd generation and i updated mines and now it won't allow me to change my background for my home screen. before i updated it it use to allow me to change the background of my home scree anytime i want to but now it won't allow me to

but this is not right....when i bought the ipod touch 8 gb i was told tht it was 3rd generation.... it had all the features of 3rd generation like Bluetooth which the previous one did not have .but nw u r sayin tht we cannot avail the feature of changin the background.....why so when our ipod is a genuine 3rd generation?

You ipod is NOT a 3rd gen ipod.

There were NO 8GB 3rd gen ipods.

They do NOT exist.

You can look for yourself.

The 2G iPod always had BT hardware. However, it was only made available for other than the Nike+ accessory with the introduction of iOS 3.x. See:
