Yes, it would! The touchscreen works much better without the screen protector and the Emoji keyboard does alter the way the letters/symbols show up on the keyboard and therefore the letters/symbols you are pressing. Also, many times when the phone is acting up, resetting it solves most of the issues. If there is a problem with the screen itself, it doesn't take a genius to realize a reset obviously won't fix that. Congrats.
Thank you for your post. My iphone was acting all posessed, tried to reset it loads of times but didnt help. As soon as i took it off charge, It was fine again. This Has only happened with a cheap imitation charger, my phone works fine when plugged into my apple charger. Just goes to show, forget the price get the real thing.
Thank you. Unplugging from charger fixed the touchscreen's erratic behavior. Eventhough I am using an original iPhone charger, it is not my own. It could be the cable or the charger which I borrowed to charge my iPhone.
Thanks again.
The problem was indeed the charger for me too. When I plugged the USB cable into the power socket using an adapter it started to behave strange like it wasn’t calibrated but when I plugged the USB cable to the laptop it was working fine. This tells me it is not necessarily something to do with the cable but it is probably something to do with the amount of power it receives from the power socket. I am really not sure but now I only charge my iPhone to the laptop USB port and if I plug it to the power socket I just do not use it for that time.
Hope this helps.
This happens to my Hubby's phone as well. he tries to text or make a call or put in a password and he gets letters he is not touching. however it seems he gets it n hits it lightly against his hand and it appears to work ok for a few letters then has to hit it against his hand again for it to work. his finger is not slipping into another letter...there is something wrong with the phone!
And I bet you feel like an idiot. Worked for me too. *******
