Hello
I don't see anything like you indicate called Accounts to "check" in a box?????
-->Sys Preferences-->Accounts--> Log-in Options-->Automatic log-in--> OFF or your ACCOUNT
System preferences doesn't take me to Accounts: "internet Accounts" but nothing to "check"off???
Let me guess. You are NOT using Snow Leopard 10.6. But rather a newer version of OS X, so the System Preference items have been renamed, and new items added, old items maybe removed, etc...
So if I am correct, you want to look for
System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Click the padlock and enter the Admin account password to unlock it -> Login Options -> Automatic login: Off
In the future, it would be helpful if you posted in the OS X format that matched the version of OS X you are actually using.

Did you try any of the offerings from the previous replies? If so, which ones, and did you get any errors that prevented them from working?
Are you running Snow Leopard (this is the Snow Leopard forum) or another operating system version?
Is the password when you boot the Mac (immediately, with in seconds)
Do you have FileVault enabled? System Preferences -> Security -> FileVault
Is the password when you wake up from sleep or when the screen saver enables
System Preferences -> Security -> General
Is the password when you login after logging out?
System Preferences -> Security -> General
Also see System Preferences -> Accounts (or it might be Users & Groups if you are _NOT_ using Snow Leopard) -> Login Options (may need to click on padlock in lower left corner to access Login Options)
Without more information from you, that is all I can guess at.
You have to go to 'change my password' and press enter and it will remove your password.
I tried the other options above but this was the one that worked. Thank you.
THIS WORKED!!!
Go to system pref.
user and group
use yout password to acces the setting
log in option
use automatically log in user ..
