Using Droid and PdaNet with iPad

I use my Droid (sorry iPhone but I can't stand ATT&T) to provide 3G coverage to my iMac using PdaNet. Can I do the same thing with iPad and avoid having a 3G iPad or using the Verizon MiFi and no additional monthly contracts or fees? What so you think?

Thanks, Jim Easton

Based on what I see on the website, I would say no. I appears that PDANet requires an app on both the serving and client machines, and there doesn't appear to be one for the iPad.

Not sure if there is an alternative for driod, but there are som that are free and allow using your smart phone as a hot spot assuming you havea data plan for it. You might want to explore the Android app store.

This response isn't from personal expereince, however.
