Text messaging format

My wife just got an iphone 4 for Verizon. She loves the phone, but she really does not like the "bubble conversation" of text messaging. Her "old" phone had a more traditional text message look, and she'd like to set her iphone to a similar setting - not the bubbles.

Is this possible? I've searched all over the phone but can't find any relevant settings.
