Adding Yahoo Email account

Hello All,
I have a problem with my iPad and iphone 4 when adding a new email account for yahoo. I tried adding my existing account to my iphone and ipad with no luck I receive a message *(Yahoo! Server Unavailable, Please try again later)* on both units, the funny thing is my email account works fine on the internet. I tried resetting network settings, rebooting the phone and I even called tech support but no go... Has anyone came accross this issue before? I really need some help here.. Would be appreciated.

Both units are up to date on firmware versions

You hit it dead center my friend. My wife just got an iPhone 5 and she never has updated her Yahoo account to the new one and thus couldnt access her Yahoo account with her new iPhone. I follow your easy steps and voila. I did spent 30 minutes surfing and playing with the phone until I stumbled into your post. You saved me hours of suffering! Many thanks my friend.
