Thanks........IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 definitely works! thanks!
Same problem for me, changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 solved it too!
But why?
the 8888 and 8844 doesn't work for me.
for me neither..
facetime works fine on my imac, but the same apple id in the same wifi on my macbook air won't work..
it seems that facetime cannot connect to apple since i can't even create a new account in the facetime app on my macbook air..
tried the dns thing, tried it on another wifi.. tried it with another ip ... anyone any ideas?
i tried to change the DNS server but still the same. still the same error coming out. Any more ideas?
You can try to create a test account and also you can try a clean install.
I tried the test account and it didn't work for me, but I still didn't tried the clean install.
Thank you, tip #2 solved the issue!
meaning that you still cant make it to sign in also? i have already test my account. it is verified.
It still showing "the server encountered error processing registration. please try again later." when i try to sign in.
Had this problem, as well.
"could not sign in. please check your network connection and try again"
I was able to solve it by going to System Preferences / Network / Advanced / TCP/IP. Once there, I selected "Using DHCP" from the IPv4 drop-down menu. Click on the "Renew DCHP Lease" button (Right side of the diualog box).
Once that was done, FaceTime signed in and is now up and running.
Yes. Well. Now if I just had someone to talk to.
This didn't work for me unfortunately😟
