device on network using same IP address

Occasionally, this dialogue box appears when awakening my iMac. It says:

"Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address (10.0.1.20)", and
continuing in smaller print: "Try connecting again later. If you continue to have problems,
change the IP address of this computer or the IP address on the other device.
Contact the network administrator if you need more information".

I have this Mac, a Mac Laptop, an iPhone, and an iPad connected to my Airport Extreme. What can I do to eliminate this box? It doesn't seem to effect anything when I click "OK", and it disappears. It's just annoying!

I've had the same router and internet connection for over 2 years now. Last Saturday I was online and all of a sudden got the same message you got. Since then I haven't been able to connect again. I tried with the Ethernet cable to my netgear router to check the router's iP address and configure it again, but even though it says the Ethernet connection is working, I can't get to open any website (not even the router's address). All of my other products (2 iPhone 4 + a MacBook) still work and go online perfectly. My MacBook pro is the only one with the problem and the message keeps coming now everytime I awake it.
How can I solve this?
I tried getting tech assistance from the Internet company, but they were really useless. They were rude and incompetent. Just said that didn't understand what was wrong since for the line and connection is fine. I need help, pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaase User uploaded file I work with my comp and Internet a lot.
Please help!
Thanks!
