Google Maps Reloading Images even after completed

Story of my life. My iPhone 4 has been doing that just recently and I cannot figure out what on earth is causing this.

I suppose if this just started happening for both you and me it could somehow be related to Google.

I'm having the same problem on my iPhone 4 (at&t). Is your iPad jailbroken?

Having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM here. Appears this is a widespread problem but difficult to find any information on. Seems this may have to do with Google's latest api implementation relaease and a conflict with Safari.

Another issue that I have had and looking through Google and Apple forums seems to be other are having this also is, in ability to zoom in or out after a map does maage to load. First the flicker problem now seems to be EVERY TIME i go into maps. It was or seemed to be an intermittent problem but no longer. When I was able to load a page I often could not ZOOM IN or OUT. I thought this had to do with my connection but have read other have the same issue and it was when connected to a perfect 3G or WiFi signal.

My info is as such;
1. Ipad 64gb w/3G
2. This Ipad is not Jailbroken
3. Running 4.2.1
4. Problem occurs when connected via WiFi and 3G
5. No other apps running in background (or at least not initiated by me. I have not tried turning off push notifications).

For what it's worth, it happens on all three modes for me (map, too) and my iPhone is not jail broken.

Te problem started a couple weeks ago.
Hope iOS 4.3 fix this problem.

I'm in Brazil.

I have been having this problem for ~2 weeks on my Verizon Iphone4. The first week Maps worked great. Then it started having the continuous refresh problem. My wife's iphone started having the problem at same time. I also have another friend who bought a VZW iPhone and he has the same issue. Sometimes the refresh problem doesn't happen. Sometimes it is sporadic. Sometimes it is literally continuous for minutes at a time. When the last case happens Maps is completely unusable.

I've had it go on for an endless amount. It will just sit there and refresh in different quadrants over and over and over again,

Really crossing my fingers for this to be resolved with iOS 4.3 but it looks like this actually might be on Google's end.

I'm using iOS 4.3 GM and appears that the problem was solved.

That's good news. Too bad I've read that Verizon iPhone won't be getting IOS4.3. 😟

Excellent. Do you know if this was fixed for both the iPad and iPhone or have you only tried one?
