Scanner driver for Canon MF6500 series

Anybody can advise where to get a scanner driver for the MF6540? Thanks!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Canon has the MF ScanGear application for OS X for several models of Canon MF series. However your MF6540 or the MF6500 series is not listed as being supported by this application.

Checking the Canon Europa web site there is no mention of any scanner driver for this model so it appears there is no OS X solution for the MF6540.

Thanks. I tried to find the MF6500 driver at Canon too. Am looking for a driver that would allow some basic scanning tasks as a provisional solution for the Mac.

When I need to scan docs using feeder etc., I am using old Windows notebook, but this is inconvenient for daily small jobs.
