iTunes store not working

I'm having trouble accessing my itunes store. It will flash the normal screen, but then turn white and the search won't work. Anyone have this same issues, or know of a fix?

Thanks.

The same thing is happening to me! Very very annoying! I don't download from the store often, and the second I want to download a whole heap of stuff, there's a problem. Go figure. Everything Apple seems to do these days seems to be faulty. Either fix it on your side of things, or give us a friggen answer already.

Add me to the list of people to whom this is happening. It started a few weeks ago. Its really strange. I would think this is the kind of thing that Apple would be motivated to jump on right away, since its apparently costing them significant revenue. Or is the persistence of this problem indicative of some sort of organizational rot within the Apple corporation? Just asking...

Has anyone received any feedback from Apple support regarding this specific issue? Like "we're working on it", or some kind of acknowledgment of the problem?

On some other thread where the same problem was being discussed, several people said the problem was occurring while using iTunes version 9.x, and that aafter upgrading to version 10.x the problem went away. So, since I was using 9.x, I did the upgrade, and indeed the problem went away, and I was able to navigate the iTunes store.

Hopefully, that takes care of the problem for good.

Yep, I am having the same issue. I tried downloading the new version also and it wasn't working. Plus some other people here have said that even with the new version they are still having the same issue. The only good news I have is that those of you with Iphones should be able to access the itunes store on your phone. I just searched the store on mine and it worked. It would definitely be nice though if apple did something about the problem. Good luck everyone!

I THINK I HAVE AN ANSWER!
I was having the same problem described by most of you, so I decided to download itunes 10 (or whatever the newest one was). Once I finished installing and opened itunes for the first time, a message came up that said windows firewall was blocking some parts of this program, do you want to unblock yadayadayada. I unblocked them, and now the store is working.
I don't think it is necessary to re-download itunes, but it is probably the easiest way. (plus, you get the new itunes) If you feel like going into windows firewall and trying to find out how to stop it from blocking portions of itunes, I think that would work too without making you upgrade your itunes.
I hope this works!

Sorry to disappoint but...
No, it's not a firewall issue. I just tried disabling Windows Firewall (on XP), Eset Smart Security Firewall and my 3Com router firewall all at the same time, and iTunes 9.1.1.12 still doesn't load the store. Except for iTunes U, which loads regardless of firewalls being on or off.

I didn't think it was firewall related because the store disappeared at a time when there was no change to the iTunes version I was running, nor did any of the three firewalls mentioned above change. And because iTunes U also loads.

So I still think its due to some change on Apple's iTunes servers, to make it compatible with some new devices or iOS release, and they are no longer compatible with certain old versions of iTunes. Presumably these are no longer supported because the response to any reported problem with iTunes is please upgrade to the latest. So I am not sure why the feedback page asks what version you are running, and doesn't even list all the versions that were released (9.1.1.12 is missing). BTW, I have reported that last fact using the feedback page.
