I used my headphone plug but yea this worked for me too...Nice tip!
Worked like a charm!
I had to insert my headphones and remove them several times before the internal speakers came back. But it worked. Using the Audio MIDI set up didn't do a thing!
Me too!!!
After trying a bunch of other things, this finally worked. Thanks!
This is perfect.. Worked exactly as it should...
Just got this problem, after using my Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic ( they came with my iPhone 6S). The red digigal light was spotted inside the earphones hole. I put my old Apple EarBuds and it runs again.
I saw this post and just inserted the headphones, which added a "headphones" output option. I played a sound effect from the Sound preferences to make sure the sound was working through headphones then when I removed the headphones the "Internal Speakers" option came back. Thanks!
Thank you very much, your tip helps me.
I resolved this issue by removing the I/O board completely. Put it back in, re-seated all connections, sound is back!
I had the same prob, poked around with a q-tip ( seemed less harmful than a toothpick) and so cool! it worked 😉
Does take more than 1-2 pokes though.
thanks guys!
Had a coffee incident this morning, lost audio as well, tried your solution with Q-tip and toothpick, worked like a charm! 🙂
So very helpful Lee -- it worked! thank you!!!!
Thank you sooooo much. This worked perfectly!
thanks, this did it for me!
