Facetime - Microphone doesn't work

Hi,

I'm on Facetime 1.0.1 on my MacBook Pro and even though a connection can be established,
the other one can't hear me talking, whereas I hear them loud and clear.
The microphone icon in Facetime is even greyed out.
Other Applications like Skype work fine.

Thanks,

Daniel

I figured out the root cause of the problem and a solution for it.

Cause of Problem: The Audio Built-in Input and Output may be out of sync with the device you are using for audio or video. You can verify this by opening "finder + Utilities + Audio MIDI Setup" and then select the Built-in Onput and look at your device's default values.

Solution: Make sure the Built-in Output matches your devices format (i.e. if device's value is 2ch-16bit integer, then set the Built-in Output to 2ch-16 bit integer).
